note:  Romano is most often credited with this work, although del Vecchi proposed additions by Polidoro da Caravaggio. Henry/Joannides (2013) underscore the patronage of Bibbiena as his family symbol (Dovizia - Abundance) appeared on the painting cover; they suggest he might have taken this work on his travels (see no. 68).
