note:  Vasari mentions this painting in his life of Giulio, however, Hartt (1944) proposed that Penni also contributed. Henry/Joannides (2013) note the parallels in composition here with that seen in the scenes at the Hampton Court Wolsey Close (created between 1525-1529) as well as some of the figures from the Stoning of Saint Stephen hence the date proposed here.
